Hi!
My name is Alycia Parrish. I am a sophomore at UWL with a Therapeutic Recreation major and a Psychology minor. I am really excited about my major, and the more TR classes I take only confirm that I chose the right career path! I am considering to continue on to grad school for Occupational Therapy, but for right now I am planning on becoming a CTRS and seeing how that career goes for awhile!
About Me:
I am from Mahtomedi, Minnesota, a suburb of the Twin Cities. I love living near a big city; there is always so much to do downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis! I am an only child, but have a pet chinchilla named Zippy, who is fuzzy and cute and super adorable!
Music is a huge part of my life. I have been in involved with choir and dance for over 16 years of my life, and even though I am not in any formal groups at UWL now, I am planning on continuing to keep my passion for music alive in my future career in TR!
In La Crosse, I love hanging out with my four awesome roommates, reading, working out, and doing anything and everything outdoors like hiking the bluffs! I am a barista at Java Detour, and I love making delicious drinks for the lovely people of La Crosse, so come visit me sometime and I'll make you something good! :)
I am very excited for this class because I love being creative and I can't wait to broaden my horizons to make myself an extremely innovative CTRS!
